i have been trying proxies for mozilla firefox from many proxy lists here on BHW... none of them worked? Does anyone know how to setup the proxy correctly?

foxyproxy worked for me
it's free for your proxies and i used manual settings

Do Free proxies ever work? I have tried it and never been successful.

I wouldnt use free proxies its only few bucks

You can always check them with Charon or checker.freeproxy.ru/checker . It filters out all dead proxies but usually when you try this on free proxy lists, only Chinese cr*p proxies remain alive and quality ones like USA are dead.

Go to Tools-->Options--> Advanced tab--> Network Tab-->Click on Settings --> Here you can enable the proxy server
