MOZ Spam Score (SS) and its Reliability

my moneysite high spam score but every day I always get money:asing:
Discussion was about getting backlinks from sites with high spam score and not about money sites having high spam score, i also hold many high spam score money sites and there are no issues with the rankings or earnings.

@RayChand - 2 questions

[1] would you take a backlink from a niche related article that has the following metric (note metrics are from homepage)
DA: 88 / PA: 66 / CF: 49 / TF: 64
Spam Score: 43%

[2] if it was not for the spam score, getting such a backlink would be a no brainer. for such high DA site, what kind of backlink would you take? exact keyword, or generic, etc.?

I will definitely take a backlink.

If I am shown the domain in advance, then I will go through the RD and anchors for that site and see whether the DA 88 is justified with real/heavy links or just spammy backlinks. DA can be easily manipulated so I am wary of that.

If I am not shown the domain before placing a link then definitely brand or URL.

There can be a third option where I know the link is going to come from a real DA 88 news/magazine site then I wouldn't flinch :D to take what I want

I took a deep look at the backlinks and noticed sure enough tons of spammy backlinks. Most are coming from directory sites; hence the high spam score from moz. also, took a look at the outbound links to see if those are ranking well for their keywords. A little bit of reverse engineering. unfortunately, they are not ranking at the top.

so, it seems that posting on this site is a waste of money and time.
