I have bought quite a few domains with the new TLD's like (.guru, .directory, .expert, .tips). However something that I have started to notice is that the Page Authority and Domain Authority on all of them remain at 0. It doesn't matter how many links (or the quality of links) I build to them, they stay at 0. So I decided to do a search for all domains with ".guru" to see if it was just my sites, or if it was a wider problem.
Result - I couldn't find a single one with a PA or DA above 0.
I also did a test where I bought a package here on BHW and sent them to both a brand new .com and a .guru. The result (after a couple of months) - the .com now has a PA of 22 and a DA of 10. The .guru is sitting at 0 and 0 (the .guru is older and has more links).
So I contacted MOZ support and asked if there was a bug. The answer was that it was all good and everything was working fine. I struggle to believe it, I suspect that unless you are someone like Barry Schwartz or Danny Sullivan, you will never get someone to actually go and look into a problem in any real detail.
My question is this - Can someone else who has worked on a site with a new TLD report back and tell me if they actually have a PA or DA above 0 (or not). I just want to see if it is just me.
