I have looked at MOZ Open Site Explorer and find it an awesome SEO tool however as a noob starting out the cost is a bit beyond my budget. Any suggestions on a cheaper solution.

Thanks in advance

how about ahref.com? i think they have the most decent database

I prefer to use moz, semrush and ahrefs! Ahrefs is the coolest metric!

Moz is the most outdated of all the mentioned pages ...

Paid Tools - Ahref and majasetic both are fantastic.
Free tools - seoprofiler.com

Don't waste your money on moz, and semrush they are not good when it comes to link analysis.

i think ahrefs is the best, but it's expensive. search for group buy seo tools

Hi!

It all really depends on what you wanna do.

I suggest you go for http://semrush.comin case you're a blogger since it's such a complete tool.

If you wanna optimize the backlink aspect of the game, you should try All-In-One SEO Software & SEO Tools - http://www.link-assistant.com/, https://ahrefs.com/, and https://majestic.com/.

Hope I've been able to help!

Cheers!

if you think MOZ is awesome, you will be suprise what kind of data ahrefs will provide. You might to take a look at group buys to save some cash but beware of terrible GB providers.

Check openlinkprofiler its free.

This is an excellent free option

so what are the opinions?shall I use MOZ tool or not?)or whatever floats your boat?((

Ahrefs + Semrush is the best solution in my opinion.

+1 for SpyGlass from SEO PowerSuite, the prices are significantly lower that the major alternatives, and you can analyze HOWEVER many backlinks with no limitations for the number of projects either.

But the very best in it is that you can load any backlinks to your projects manually and then check the presence of the backlinks in real-time before starting to analyze any other metrics for them. In case you find anything toxic (you can check the 'penalty risk' for the links in bulk) - you can add it to a disavow list in two clicks, and export the ready-for-submitting list in the end.
