Hey guys,This morning I was playing with the keyword difficulty tool on MOZ. Somehow I had never bothered to try this feature of the website but after finding some neat keywords yesterday I though I'd give it a shot and see the results.

All my keywords were manually analysed. They show very low allintitle: number, websites are not optimized to target the keyword either. There is about 2-3 sites from top 10 that target the keyword, other are not even close.

After sticking these keywords in MOZ they come out as medium close to high competition and high competition. Doesn't look like it to me.

So I went ahead and plugged one of my favorite keyword from the good old payday loans niche. "Best payday loans". I tried this one in long tail pro and the tool was giving a huge green flag with a score of 32 (yeah right)Well MOZ gives me a score of 45%, lower than my two other keywords. It seems to me that they rely too heavily on their DA and PA metrics and don't look at actual keyword enough.

If the pages on top 10 are authority sites, it doesn't matter to them if they target the keyword or not.

So it's just me or this tool from MOZ isn't worth 2 penny?

Moz's tools are pretty useless and their index is much smaller than some of its competitors like Ahrefs & Majestic meaning its scores are a bit misleading, because they aren't really factoring in as many domains as possible.
