I have a couple developed sites that are all on a shared hosting platform, obviously sharing the same IP. that I would like to now move each site to it's own IP.

The sites only have content on them, all in a similar niche. No linking has been done from the sites, only to the sites.

Would moving the sites still have some benefit if I had to start linking out, or is it too late for that now?

    Thanks!

There is a small theoretical benefit to having a unique IP - Google has mentioned in some of their patents that sites on unique IPs are considered more trustworthy (because the owner has invested that little bit more in getting a dedicated IP) and so there may be some added SE juice. I always put my important domains on unique IPs.

In practice putting multiple domains on the same IP is so wide spread because of the availability of cheap virtual hosting that I don't think it makes a huge difference. Also with IPv4 IPs running out there will only be more of a trend toward sites sharing the same IP, at least until IPv6 is widely adopted. I have plenty of domains on shared IPs and virtual hosting that get good traffic.

If you are interlinking between your own domains then you're probably better off doing it sparingly and putting the domains on IPs on different class Cs (or better yet, different hosting providers and geographic locations). But I have seen plenty of anecdotal evidence that interlinking domains on the same IP isn't too hurtful (unless that's the only source of your backlinks).
