Hello,
There is an affiliate blog with about 600-700 posts that almost half are containing cloaked affiliate links.

I need to move the site to https and I was wondering what would happen with the affiliate links that begin with http:// in Thirsty Affiliates.

If I add a general redirection from http:// to https:// will I be fine?

In terms of SEO and losing rankings of current pages do you suggest anything?
What do you think should I go ahead or there will be many problems?

i did it before on my blog but redirect script not work perfectly !!

Not sure about your cloaked links.

In terms of ranking:

You no longer lose/dilute PR through 301 redirects. Reason being: it would have been a nightmare for Google when everyone was upgrading from http to https. This came straight from Gary Illyes.

You better use https for links if possible.

Thats what I had in mind, I just need to find a way to change all the links to https.

I ve been advised to use Migrate DB to export the DB
which also has a feature to find and replace every http:// to https:// but
I am not sure if the affiliate links change.

I guess I ll have to find out just by doing it...

Your can redirect your http link to https and it won't harm you at all.

As I think, Your ranking will not be lost if you move your website from http to https.
However, I will warn you about your website's social signal.
When I did it for my website, I lose all of social signal of every posts. Then, You need to gain it again, or your website will be lose trust on Google.
