Hello! Once again in need of advice :anyway:
Found a great place in Brussels, a 1bedroom appartment 59 sqm for €450/month with a €1k deposit fee.
The place looks really nice on the pictures. And I'm wondering if this price and place is too good to be true. I have no prior experience in this but thought that appartments went for 700-900 euros.
Another weird thing is that they want to do the deal through Airbnb because they now moved back to germany.

What is your opinion on this?

Moved to the Lounge.

First, make sure they are the actual owners of the flat and not a scam !

Thanks for that, was sure I put it in the lounge.
Yes found them on craigslist lol... but if the deal is done with airbnb they should be the rightful owners?

Not really mate, there's plenty scams involved where people rent a house from the owner, then sublet it out on Air BnB , take the deposit etc and vanish.

I was reading your post and everything was looking good unless and until you mentioned about airbnb :) is there any alternate method?

Oh makes a lot of sense now, thanks for the insight

That’s why you need to buy a van and convert it into a motorhome that’s what I want to do and I can live on the road making a living online

Well I asked them to explain the procedure so it will be plain obvious if it's going to be a scam or not :)

That actually sounds really cool, unfortunantly I do not have the budget or the knowledge to do that :(

With a bit of work you’ll get there! A typical van cost €1000 and doing it up might take a bit of time but it’ll be worth it. I saw a double decker bus on eBay the other day going for €3,000 which really surprised me. It would be cool to convert that into a massive motor home but there’s probably a lot wrong with it cause double deckers cost around €10,000-€20,000

Is a scam!! Apartments in Brussels are double price!!!
