Im trying to move my wordpress site to my localhost(wamp)

I've copied the wp content folder from my server and tried to paste it in over my wp content file in my c drive

However, the themes and plugins were on the backend of my local site but nothing else?

Is it just as simple as repasting the wp content file or did I miss something?

install Duplicator Plugin on your live site.
Take a backup and download the 2 files produced by the duplicator plugin.
Place them in the wamp/www directory.
browse the folder from your browser to extract and install the site on your localhost.

Instructions are there in the plugin download page.

Just did that recently. Duplicator as suggested is a good option.

You would also need to be carefull at wp-config.php - i'm sure that you would need to modify some things there (database name, credentials, ect)
