Me and my girlfriend are now going through the motions of moving house. We have done this in the past but this is the first time that we are going from an unfurnished rental to another unfurnished rental, so we have a shed load of junk that needs boxing and moving. The whole ordeal is literally hell on earth, juggling the boxing and packing alongside both my full-time job and my part-time online ventures. Knowing what we can pack now and what we need to leave until later, all whilst having 3-4 potential tenants getting shown round our cluster f*** of a house that looks like a bomb has hit it. Anyone done this in the past? Any tips on making this less hellish?

I recently moved and the best advice I can give you is:

Hire a Moving Company

First post on a IM forum is about house relocation. Well done Sir!

Ha, first post was actually about LAC - But good try. How many first posts can a man make!?

Couldn't agree more with hiring a moving company. I had to move a few years ago and it saves so much hassle.

Also don't forget to sort out the internet for your new place as I know I had to wait a week for it to activate in my new place.

You could always box up a lot of the stuff right now and just have the essentials like clothes, alcohol, tv and computer equipment left out.

Just do it. It'll be over in a week or so.

Getting very close to the absolute bare essentials that's for sure.
