Moving Content

I have an older blog from an old business of mine that no longer exists. I want to move a couple of relevant pieces of content to my new blog but I don't want to remove it from my old business blog as it often gets used as part of my writing portfolio.

What's the easiest way of migrating the content over? Will a canonical tag be the way to go here?

Make that page no index on old blog and once its deindexed, post content on new blog.

After you mark your content as noindex, you can put a removal request through Google Webmaster Tools.
Last time I used it, they removed the URL from their index within 48 hours.
Then you could go post it on your other blog.

If you want to keep content on both the site, canonical is the right way to go.

Noindex will be the best solution in my view
