Hey

How does Google react if you move content from a poor performing domain to a new domain?

I'm asking as I have a domain where I have been a bit too creative with my link building and that domain just keep performing worse and worse. I have tried quite a few things by now. Hence; I'm considering moving the content which is really good to one of my other domain.

Does Google notice that and will it affect my chances of ranking with that content?

Thansk!

If you 301 everything, it takes about 3 months to see any difference.

If the new domain is just registered, it might get worse than the current one.

My alternative domain already performs better with shorter articles than my poor ranking domain.
My plan was not to redirect, but to only move the articles as I would like to get free of my creative link building.

They would not get indexed in the first place without a redirect. Considering they are already in index.
