Hi there,

I have a question, would be very happy if you share experiences in similar situations.

I have a website, instead of moving whole site to a new domain with 301 redirects, I want to move only certain pages to a new site with new domain with 301 redirects, without changing the articles. So this old site and new site will be seperate and live.

Will there be any duplicate content issues?

Thanks

Create a new database for your new domain, import the backup of your old database into the newly created database..

There will be no issue as long as you apply proper 301 redirect to the migrated posts.

For this, install a plugin named - 'Redirection' in the original website and within it's settings, apply 301 redirect to the posts that you migrated to the new site.

It is a very easy and simple process. You should be fine once you do this as there will be no duplicate content penalty applied. Google crawlers will understand that the posts are moved to their new destination with the help of this 301 redirect.
