Moving Abroad -> Advice Needed!

Hello,

I guess its the proper time to move abroad and I would personally like something between Spain and / or Australia.

The problem is that I'm from Eastern Europe and I will have to pass through many bureaucratic / legal stuff.

I make enough from the Internet to live a normal life either in Spain or Australia however, for the sake of conversation I wouldn't mind a part time / full time job in an internet marketing company (seo).

So how do I proceed from now? Whom do I have to speak with? Should I get a work permit / work visa or how does it work?

First of all, travel there as a tourist. Find yourself the place you want to live in. Ask around for all the thing you 'll need to know before you actually move there.

Obviously, you should contact the Spanish/Australian embassies in your country to inform you about their immigration policy and opportunities.

Australia is a fantastic country, im saying that as a New Zealander.

If your from a EU nation that's in Eastern Europe, I think you can move to Spain with no problems, just need to register your residency after 90 days.

Is your home country part of the EU? If so, it's kind of easy.

Seriously, EU members have all kinds of rights in other EU countries.

As an American, I've lived in Germany and the UK and they really don't want you there if you're gonna try to get a job. Don't even mention that you might look for work if you can - I spent 6 hours in UK Border office for saying just that. I was within minutes of getting denied entry. THEY DO NOT WANT FOREIGNERS. Spain may be more tolerant - do your research.

Your man above has it right, visit first. Check each country's policy, many will let you stay 3 months or more as a tourist.
