Hey Guys,

To provide context for my upcoming questions, I'll first share some relevant information about my project.
Project Description:
I have two domains with the same generic keyword but different extensions (.net and .org). The project consists of:
  • Movie site: This site automatically pulls data from TMDB and displays it. Users can click "download" or "stream" buttons under each movie. Registration is optional, and there are currently 1300 registered users, growing by 50-80 per day. The actual user base is much larger due to unregistered users.
  • Download page: This page offers downloads for desktop apps (Windows, Mac, Linux), an Android app, and browser extensions (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera). Estimated install numbers are 1000 for desktop apps, 10,000+ for the Android app, and 1300 combined for browser extensions.
Monetization:
I recently got approved for AdSense (yesterday) and started monetizing. Here's some data from the first 24 hours:
  • Average CPC: $0.10 - $0.17
  • CTR: 9%
  • Revenue: $23
  • Pageviews: 1300
  • Impressions: 4800
  • Primary traffic source: Android app
I'm aiming for a non-intrusive monetization approach and believe AdSense is a good fit. It's currently active on all formats, although the Android app generates the most views and clicks.
Now, with this background information provided, I'd like to ask a few questions...

Questions:

  1. Do you know of a better way for me to monetize that converts better than Adsense and I can make more money?
  2. I've heard bad stuff about sites like AppBrain. Does Google ads app installs work well and is it cost effective? (Got numbers for example?)
  3. Are there any legit PPI companies for Android apps?
  4. If I wanted to sell it all, where would you suggest I post? (I know the movie niche isn't for everyone)
