Movie Site: Wordpress or Self Made CMS?

Now the self made cms has a lot of pros in terms of automation etc but i saw plenty of guys here who own a movie site switched to wp afterwards
If you use wp what plugins do you use to automate movie insertion, i was thinking of using wp rest api
I dont want to reinvent the wheel and would like to hear some opinions

I recommend you to go with wordpress because i own many movies sites and always use wordpress because it have all the plugins and theme required for an good movie site. Every movie site owner outside is using wordpress because of it's ease and reliability.

You see, you will do fine with WP, Joomla or Drupal. Just find an appropriate plugin for your needs. If it doesn't exist, develop that one.
But seriously, stick on well-known CMS.
