Hey all,

Im looking to develop watchmoviesonlinefree.org, i think the domain holds pretty good weight for exact searches across the board but my curiosity is, whats the best way to really rank a movie site, as you ca imagine half of these sites are full of the same content from imdb and the likes so what would really be a hard hitting way to over take some top sites.

Also i want to try and be minimal in my approach to moneztizing with the likes of ************** so i can utilize sidereel a bit more etc.

Some great tips would be much appreciated, cheers all.

As far as I understand it, trying to rank a movie site in the SERPS, especially one such as yours which uses the most common keywords, is damn near impossible.

Instead, it is recommended to go for Social Media marketing through the likes of Twitter and Facebook.

It's tough but not impossible... I started on similar niche with longer keyphrase just 1.5 months back... I am ranking for several keywords in different country not much traffic... Reason i am not ranking in USA or similar place where i can expect high volume of quality traffic... Yesterday i found my site ranking 1st for high competitive term in yahoo LOL 84 mil comp... Not much work but did some good work... No black hat on that site...

Only unique content on my site.. it got hardly 200 movies with content... sorry not even movies only trailers from you tube but some good review content...

BTW i got similar domain with little tweaking in name but targeting similar keyphrase which you doing or planning to do...

the thing is, google is or has had a massive shape up, the only way movie sites are very strong at the top is the sheer amount of backlinks but the content is bollocks, know what im saying. This is why i asked if there was maybe a better approach to seo for movie sites so google gives more loving, rather than seeing copied blurbs x 100.

Get unique content then also make backlinks... treat it as usual site means doing everything in SEO... Very few sites got unique content so you will find it will start rising in ranking very soon but still it's gonna take time... Don't forget regular update... Try to go from latest... don't forget to include even trailers... some times you can see some trailers on you tube got millions of hits... target several keywords on home page + multiple pages from inside... i hardly got 1200 backlinks and i am getting good result at-least i didn't expect it this soon or this much good...

It's not impossible, trust me. Just takes a bit of effort. I've now got quite a few movie sites that are all on the first page of Google.

I got 600 organic hits yesterday, that's cool for 1.5 month old site... Today seems going to beat it....

So it's possible

try ranking for an individual movie. Find out when a popular new movie is going to be released and spread it that way.

LOL nothing... This site is not monetize and i was just building it for my long term solutions... I didn't expect it to come in ranking this early...

BTW this site sends some traffic to my other movie site which displays whole movie and use **************... Just 1.45 bucks over there yesterday.....

Current template on my site is not very good for ads and i don't want to use ************** over here (visitors will kill me when after filling survey they see i got only review and trailer for them)... I will be checking through movie scripts or wordpress templates which will be good for monetizing movie site... If any one can point me in right direction then it would be great help...
