When i try to move the pointer upwards , it goes sideways and vice versa.

Any body had a similar problem ?

are you sure your mouse isn't upside down? :p thats pretty crazy though, i've never had that happen to me. run an anti-virus scan, and use hijackthis to check for anything that looks suspicious. my .02

What type of mouse are you using? ball or optical? if it's a ball try cleaning it inside the rollers
fill up with all soughts. Otherwise do as above or do a system restore to before it started.
Kiddies put what the call fun commands on their malware like "crazy mouse" so just be carefull.

shouldnt be coz of the softwares you downloaded from here.
Probably check the mouse settings in your control panel? Disconnect and reconnect ur mouse again? Or use a different mouse?
