Not entirely true.
Lets say Tiger Woods played tennis in his younger years. Every day, after school, before school, etc. Now, if Tiger doesn't quit tennis he's never going to become a PGA golfer.
This applies to many people. I have quit many different business ventures, so that my other ventures would succeed.
Maybe winners never 'give up'?
