Motivation association [NOOBS]

Hi everyone,
Readin BHW gives me a lot of ideas to try, but like most of the other noobs around, lack motivation when it doesn't start working right away.
So, I decided to tackle the problem, and hopefully make myself useful here.
What I would like is to get in touch with other noobs like me, and use the peer pressure to get things done and keep trying + get advice/help.

The way I see it, you should post in here :

- List your skills
- List what you're S*** at doing
- Your objectives

Hopefully, we could arrive at some kind of associations between complementary skillsets/people (I make your landing page, you make my video, I post your link, you post mine, etc...)

So I'll start with myself, and let's see if it goes somewhere :

SKILLS :

- Programming, programming, more programming. I breath and S*** code and do it for a living. I have Huge experience in many domains, my favourites being scraping and entering digital places I'm not supposed to.
- out-of-the-box/black-hat thinking
- good english and communication


What I'm NOT good at :
- Social networking, before I decided to give a go at IM, I always saw people displaying their private life and posting about their feelings/lunchbox content/tits/... as a freakin waste of time and space.
- YT (same reasons than above)
- Keep the motivation on when there's no immediate results (that's why I'm writing this)

Objectives :
- For starters, driving traffic to a site. I have domains, landing pages, all the tech part done. I want to experiment now on ranking keywords and driving people to my pages, A ebook giveaway page or whatever would be enough, I'm not into monetizing yet, just learning.
- Unsure : I want to try gig reselling, adult PPC, and CB aff for a start, and to get cash for more stuff to come.

There it is. Is that thread some kind of self-psychology stuff? Probably. Do I need help and use BHW to get some? Yeah definitely, but what's wrong with that? I'm not the only one needing help and grouping these people in one thread could be a good thing, no?

Not sure I've explained myself properly, let me know if this thread is not at the right place, feel free to move it if that's the case. Btw, this thread isn't intended for experienced IMers, or VIP members, but feel free to comment on it too, your experience and advice is invaluable to us dreaming of success

Yes, you're right, thanks. How do I do that? Could an admin take care of it, Im sure I don't have the permissions (can't even write the word f r e e in a post ).

Im really glad you started something like this. I've been lurking through the forum for a while now and would like to try a lot of these ideas. However, like you said, I lack motivation and probably a bit of skills to get things started.

Anyways, here are my pros and cons

SKILLS:
- work a lot with social media - facebook, pinterest, instagram, twitter, etc.
- My regular job works a lot with e-commerce sellers and I myself have started an e-commerce site.
- I do a lot of work with clients and suppliers.

CONS:
- Can not code to save my life.
- Can be a bit ambitious at times and tend to try too much too fast.

Objectives:
I would like to try and give Affiliate Marketing a try. I'd definitely like to gain some SEO experience and good practices.

Cool, we have quite complementary skillsets. I'm also willing to give affiliates a try.
I know exactly what you mean by "try too much too fast", and I thats also why I started that thread, it's much easier to stay on track when we're not alone.
If you want we can start to plan action and try it out? My coding skills + your social media skills, it sounds good!
I think that to make it work, we need to write down what needs to be done, and rough timings. This way, we can kick each others butts when motivation fades. Agreed?

Skills:
- Learned alot about pinterest. Have some good following there and can drive traffic to my blog using it.
- Started selling gigs about pinterest
- can do some basic HTML things

Cons:
- Can't code
- Lack of persistence

Objectives
- Wanna build a constant stream of income. May be from affiliate marketing

Never gonna happen. Trust me Money didn't came up for nothing but because barters don't work well. Doesn't mean they always don't work but most times they do. Secondly, people dont even work on their own shit, you think they're going to work for somebody else in a barter? Thirdly, those who would will likely scam you.

SKILLS :

- Critical thinking
- Common sense
- Out of the box/blackhat thinking
- Strategical thinking,
- Programming - obsessed with optimization from the beginning, architecting, making PHP do things it was never supposed to do, scraping, bots, tools, etc.
- Web design
- Usability
- Conversion rate optimization - I don't actually track and improve, most of the time I get it pretty good from the start and don't bother further (see point below).
- Psychology/understanding how people think, visitor's behavior
- Good English and communication
- Sales (though I almost never need that skill at least not online)
- Imagination - to build something awesome you fist need to imagine it, so it's something important to have this skill as developed as possible. And yes, it is a skill not something you're just born with (because you can hone it).
- Research
- Determination - I can ponder over a problem for months thinking of a solution until I find that solution
- Practical experience - helps me not fall for scams, people full of bullshit or waste time with crap (e.g. investing too much in a potential worker that I know will likely never get to the level I need him to).


What I'm NOT good at :
- Social networking - but who gives a shit. I'm not online to update twitter every time i wipe my ass. I am online to make money. Also there is no such thing as "social" online. Social requires face to face otherwise a lot of the social thing is lost. Also, my business model does not require me to socialize much with people online or offline and that's good because I like to socialize only with people I actually like.
- YouTube - the opposite compared to you - i can watch music videos and funny videos all day long if i'm bored.
- Determination - I listed it as a skill but is also a weakness because while I am determined to finding a solution I might loose interest once I know how to do it theoretically.
- Being nice in a fake way with people I don't like.
- Using social sites to drive traffic - actually I know how and would be good at it but I don't like it as a strategy because I like SEO way more.
- Being organized - I'm working on this one because is important to truly be successful.


Objectives :
- Not dying with too many regrets.
- Travel around the world not giving a fuck about money or worries. Atm i don't give much of a fuck but I'm not traveling yet.
- Feeling optimal every single day from the moment I open my eyes until the moment I go to bed and while I am sleeping.
- Being happier, laughing more, enjoying little things.
