PS: As far as I know anything related to e-whoring is strictly prohibited on BHW (this is also wrong section) but I guess it's no big deal in thise case.

It used to be that simple back in like 2010. When Facebook was first coming on the scene, people couldn't tell the difference between a real profile and a fake one.

This scam is actually quite common in other counties where the united states dollar has extreme value. Even if a scammer manages to get 50$ out of their mark in their currency it may pay a living up to 3 months or more. It is a little bit harder to pull off now a days with social media and mobile but is still possible if you know what you are doing. Easier to get caught too so you really have to know what you are doing
