most simple calender/event plugin for wordpress ?

What I am looking ?

I am looking for a calender plugin to just show date + event name either some where in theme or a page . The plugin should automatically move recent events to top and delete expired events . Just this ....

What I am getting is fully fledged event management plugin that create custom post types and you have to fill butt load of data to add a event, it is all useless to my needs.

So does anyone know the most simple calender/todolist/event plugin , which just shows a date & event name ?
something like this , with recent events on top
