Ahrefs, Semrush etc are useful but I feel like they make SEO look more complex than it actually is. people chase metrics instead of just fixing content + structure.
some metrics are good, though... and when analyzing backlinks Ahrefs definitely has its place, so I wouldn't say that these tools complicate SEO unnecessarilypeople chase metrics instead of just fixing content + structure.

Tools are fine, but a lot of people use them to avoid making decisions. They keep checking numbers instead of fixing the page.
