Last tme I looked, you can believe what you want.
With the amount of info available here, you are either not reading, or not doing.
Nothing replaces trial and error. Find an idea, put some effort into, and actually try it.
If it fails, you'll still learn something.
If it succeeds, maybe you'll understand that to actually make money online, you have to DO something.
So... why not pick out something, and actually try it?

I have been trying to learn to earn money online but I am yet to earn a dime: that to me does not mean no one earns anything; that does not mean people in here are fakers!! I am yet to approach anyone in this "world' for any help but I am sure when I do, someone will be more than willing to. I believe good guys are still around in this world and they are also here in this BHWorld!!
Be more positive and slog it, if you really want to earn money online: I believe what I am telling you.

It's not about showing off money, it's about showing off the knowledge, hard work and ingenuity that went into making that money. The money is just the scorecard.
Personally I find it highly motivating seeing a good (genuine) stats screenshot. There used to be a guy on GFY called "quiet" (RIP) who posted real screenshots of $300K a month... Now _that_ was inspiring.
I've posted this screenshot before but October is shaping up to be a cracker month so hopefully I will have a new one to post soon.
How I did it:
* cloaked doorway pages with generated content
* tons of niches
* hours of programming
* hours of testing and tweaking
* not whining on BHW about how no one will spoon feed me and wipe my ass for me
* FUCKING HARD WORK
ps This is probably the gayest fucking thread on BHW.

Under normal circumstances, I agree with this statement. However, given the nature of the thread, and the fact that the OP specifically ASKED for proof, screenshots are pertinent to the discussion.
It's like anything. If a person looks to assert his accomplishment, it's in poor taste, but if he replies to a question regarding his accomplishment, all he's doing is obliging the inquisitor.
I think the OP needs a reality check. Don't expect anyone to spoon feed you anything. Honestly, as you can tell by my title, I am a newbie but I didn't come to this site thinking this was going to be easy. There is an overwhelming amount of information on this forum and I am excited to sit down and go through it all-on my own. Of course I am going to post questions but not after I exhaust all other options, that's how I have always been.
Look I just recently started a website with little to no SEO experience and my site is doing well. I had a good idea so I threw together a WP and a SEO plugin and went to work. I recently started learning about backlinks and what not. Stupidly though I paid $150 for a "backlink service" which gave me about 300 backlinks but I found out that you can make you own with software! See, I learned from experience! Now I know to try to do it myself and save some money.
Its really about your idea and what you have to offer. I recently added google ads and I surprisingly made over $100 in about 7 days. I was so blown away because I have barely scratched the surface on SEO, imagine what I can make if I configured everything properly and to its fullest? No I wont show you my site, no I wont show you my Adsense invoice, I have nothing to prove to you. I simply put that number so you have an idea. I know some people are making 10x more than me, but its okay-its not always about the money. I am learning, gathering knowledge. Knowledge that is applied becomes wisdom and that is priceless.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of people who do post screenshots on a thread like this aren't faking the screenshots. Too much effort for too little payout (any payout at all?).
The OP asked for proof. Why would a person then try to falsify proof? They're not gonna get a pat on the back or anything.
It doesn't make sense, but I suppose it doesn't matter if someone believes it or not. No money is made or lost on that.

Here is a letter from Pixar. Take a read and see if you can spot the important issue he brings forward. If you can not find it then I understand why you cruise BHW and still can't figure things out. If you do find it in this letter then follow his advice.

The important thing is to slog diligently through this quagmire of discouragement and despair. Put on some audio commentary and listen to the stories of professionals who have been making films for decades going through the same slings and arrows of outrageous production problems.
In a word: PERSIST.
PERSIST on telling your story. PERSIST on reaching your audience. PERSIST on staying true to your vision. Remember what Peter Jackson said, "Pain is temporary. Film is forever." And he of all people should know.
So next time you hit writer's block, or your computer crashes and you lose an entire night's work because you didn't hit save (always hit save), just remember: you're never far from that next burst of divine creativity. Work through that 97% of murky abyssmal mediocrity to get to that 3% which everyone will remember you for!
I guarantee you, the art will be well worth the work!
