I bought 2 webdesign services and one SEO service... it was an awful experience.
One of the guy is banned, the others are still around...
The good thing is that I learnt how to build a website on Wordpress because of these experiences and I understood that I should never buy average SEO services which seems good because "quality links" has a different meaning when it comes from the mouth of a seller...

Thread wise yeah , couple of times , my best purchase was scrapebox a decade ago , few "lady gaga and Drake..." seo services (for testing) and some pitch page designs

Especially when you compare it to other forums and communities that evolved around this time, it very well survived. BHW got a new modern layout, new functions and features, even changed the owner. It's far away from dying.
