Most important IM skill for you ..

Marketing is number one, if you dont know how to build an audience and how to sell your services / products to them you have nothing!

Making strategies, analyzing outcomes, fixing loopholes and revamping the strategy accordingly.

most precise and accurate answer I believe, through my own IM experience. I am not totally agreed with those who favored coding as major part of IM. instead of spending time on coding It is always good to outsource it. there are other major things in IM we can spend our time on it since there are experts who can code your ideas and one can use their own time on other activities. IM is for sure need money to invest. one can not be succeeded if don't spend money on their IM projects. but one thing is for sure, to be successful in online marketing an IM must be very good in SEO.

A good product will talk for itself. If you want to outsource the job then sure but expect to fork out thousands of dollars to just get a prototype created and another batch of money to finish and polish the product, not to mention the ongoing costs for maintenance. And if you hire the wrong person and all code is not documented or is not reusable then you're likely screwed.

A major example of a such product is Scrapebox. The developer spent countless hours on making the perfect product of SEO and the rumours spread like wildfire making it the most sold seo tool ever.

Spend 70% of time on marketing and 30% on product -> grow slowly and a customer at a time
Spend 70% of time on product and 30% on marketing -> have your customers talk about your product and grow like godzilla
