I saw a blog where the posted blog entry had maybe 50% of the RSS article with a link to the source. However whenever i run RSS it just gives me the full article. Which is more effective? It seems like referring to the source would reduce some plagiarism problems?

Does anyone know how to do that or is it dependent on the feed?

I'm also a relative newby, but I'm sure that the feed has nothing to do with how it is displayed. Somewhere in Wordpress you can either adjust the length; or it maybe the theme itself that can do it. Best suggestion is to find the blog which has shortened article and check out which wordpress theme. Google that theme and see how other blogs with that theme are displaying. Choose that theme. Hope that helps until a buff answers better.

You can use wp-o-matic for this. There is a setting to link the title to the source automatically.
