What I find strange is that no one seems to know if the +1 votes even make any difference at all to your serps, and if they do, how many are required etc for it to make a difference. Ive tried a couple of services, and seen no effect either up or down. Ive been offered 1000 +1s for a very cheap price, and I may give that a go, if 1000 makes no difference then I will not be bothering with them any more...

I have looked at and tried many services on here, and I just dont understand this culture of "I paid the OP for 10k links and he gave me 13.5K WOW great service!" Never mind the fact that none of the links actually helped you in any way, or increased your SEPRs results even slightly.

When reading reviews, people seem to focus on all the wrong things, like over delivery of links, the speed of the service, how freindly the op was etc...

People dont seem to focus on how fast they got to the top after using the service, or if they even got any movement at all!

This is great advice and is exactly what we are doing and why we asked this question in the first place. Our website is over 12 years old, and in that time we have built many hundreds of thousands of different links to the website.

The links sem to come and go in phases, for a while something will work great, then stop being so effective as Google cottons on to what people are doing, then something else will be discovered that will work great for a while.

So if you are doing something that hasnt been mentioned in this thread that is working great, then post it up and let us know.

I have an array of things that could help you would be happy to do what I can. Though sounds like your in need of some funds first!

+1 is the most important social signal G00gle uses, but don't buy some service for it. They can detect it so easily.

Here is what you do. Open scrapebox and scrape blogs in your niche. Use "write for us" or "guest post" as a footprint. remove duplicate domains and then blast the remaining domains with a question.

"I really like your blog blah blah.... I am an expert in the field of..... and was wondering if you'd be interested in publishing an article I wrote. The article would go along perfectly with the content in your blog, and I will provide it free of charge. I would appreciate a link back to my site in an "about the author" section if possible. Please contact me at @email.com. Keep up the great work on your blog blah blah"

Put something like that in the comment section. You'll be amazed at how responses you get.

I prefer to build my own blog network. Rather than join one and wait for G to slap every one apart of it.

You can buy articles for 3-5 bucks. This really does not take a lot of work. Put some blackhat into it and lie your ass off to get the guest post.

i have purchased an xrumer service from BST, but my rankings now gone.. sh*t... i don't recommend xrumer service..

i've been testing a lot of things the past few months. I can back up a lot of what's said concerning profiles. They are incredibly weak compared to what they used to be. Google is really figuring out how to hamstring them. It doesn't mean you have to stop using them, you just have to be better about it. Try to squeeze in more content on the page, get the high pr, and that kind of thing.

what i've discovered that works well is having a page with a lot of unique content and good relevant contextual linking. that can be blogs, articles, and all of that kind of thing. you really just need a site with good pr that isn't cluttered with a million links and ads.

of course, you can still spam your way to victory with comments and profiles, it just takes a lot more than it used to

I want to share my experience:

+1 Google: I ordered +300 (+1) and it does effect but just for 2 days. But it was really a nice experiment. After 2 days my site went back to the same place (after the +300 it went up to #3).

What is not working for me?

- Profiles (It really sucks)
- Xrummer, Senuke (really sucks).
- Web 2.0 I am giving up for those, it really doesn't make anything (waiting 2 months and nothing buying a lot of them here).

What is really working:

- Bookmarking: That is definitively working right now
- Network Content Sites: That depends some are not working and some are.

I am still testing and buying linkwheels and the related services here to see if it really works. But after 2 months of testing, still in the No-direction. I will wait 3-6 months and see if it really makes a difference.

Note: I am posting daily 10 posts minimum, unique content and interesting ones. Niche: High-Medium.

So let's see in 6 months if there is any change. What is really making me crazy is that I created one subdomain and didn't do any backlink and is doing much better than my main site and inner pages lol... Crazy G00gle!

Oh talking about that Giant.... Still nothing from Bing and Yahoo.

Site: the site has been up since 2007 then I removed totally this year (2 months ago) and working with it to create a quality and authority website.

Contextual links in blog posts are hot right now.

I just saw a site less than a month old ranked top 3 for a 450k/month [exact] keyword. With just blog post links (at least that's the only links I saw).

I think the trick now is to have only clean, quality links directly to money site:

Contextual links in good content, spread them around
EDU and GOV (other profile links seem useless now)

I'm writing 5-10 good articles for tier one. I take those links and hit them with SEnuke profiles, social bookmarks and profiles/comments. If the niche is competitive, I write 5-10 more articles and do it all over again.

Good content is a must.

ive spent a lot of time recently carfeuly looking at the error stats to find URLs that are linked to that are wrong, (usually as a result of a backlink service that didnt read the instructions properly or were sloppy when creating the links)
Ive generated a list of 301 redirects specifically for the links that seem to be clicked most often as well as a general 404 redirect back to the root domain.

Ive also gone through and found older pages on my website that are rubbish quality, and have created 301 redirects through to relevant, newer, better quality pages.

So now that the actual website is tightened up, hopefully that might improve things a litlle on its own, then I can start looking to build quality links again.

Ive also added a lot more unique text to my homepage and one of the internal pages.
Im just waiting for Google to update their cache and find the changes....

I have used G +1's. I didn't notice a whole lot and I think it is because it is a very "gameable" system right now. But what I think they are trying to do is find the "real" G profiles that only click on quality results...so it does matter what type of site and the quality of site you are promoting.
At the end of the day I sent 100 +1's to 5 websites and didn't notice any movement from them. I think it is too early to tell if they work. I think they may make a difference in the future but right now G is just in testing mode on it right now and looking at the metrics.
