Most effective link building these days ?

Tier 2 links have not had the juice to push you on to the first page for a long time you are right if they are contextual they can broaden your backlink profile and make those 5-10 valuable links carry more weight

don't most blogs have a 'do not follow' setting for guest links?
Yes they do that is why they need relevant content on page and in comments to carry any trust to your site ... example Wikipedia is mostly no follow but a no follow from there is still very powerful. The trick with no follow I have found is get click throughs that help validate your nofollow as not being spam or unvaluable so try to get something the users on that site want to click to your site.

If you want ranking past 6 months PBN is not going to keep you there nor is tier 2 you have to remember Google does not rebuild their algo they add a new one so you have several tiers to their rankings that is why you might jump to page 1 in 30 days then fall to page 5 the next 30 all of their updates add another filter run from a different data center they do not rewrite they add on.

The junk backlink days are over ... I have been trying to find someone on here with a relevant food backlink site since I first signed up and all I get are what are realistically tier 2 blog garbage shown to me. If I get one more person sending me 10 sites all hosted at bluehost shared hosting I am going to punch my screen ...

Wow. Never heard of anyone building more than tier 4! 10? What are you on to :D I need some of those to stay motivated. Yeah, PBNs are not that great for long term project.(unless they are yours). But they work like magick if you buy from a powerful network.

But the 10 tiers? I am going to re-plan my method of link building. Thank you!

i know right? after 5 it was all interlinked, after 8 it became so confusing i had to draw it on my wall :D i just got the painted otherwise i would have shown you the picture, i used tier 7,8,9,10 to pump up a tier 3 of another project.

I use to be a hardcore link builder :D but not any more. May be i have become lazy these days (Too much netflix)

thanks for so many comments and answers ! ;)
You see, i am able to provide high quality guest post backlinks and thinking to start a service here, but not sure if i will sell well as there are many such services, what you think guys ?

Hey guys,

From your experience, what is the most effective and best link building strategy these days?

patience. and one good strong link per month to subpages, and max 10 to /

I am going to do the same thing, but not as deep as yours.
I ranked a .wordpress page for a search term of 1000+ per month and other related KWs. And it has 1000 words article (100% unique). What I use is 301 redirects, cheap PBNs and then blasting those shortners with GSA. It is ranking for "blue widget 2017" on top 3.

So I implement this in a brand new website.
This time I created 10x web2.0s with spun content and using pbns and url shortners. No, I didn't create social media for each of the accounts :(.
It was able to push the test sit to top 10 to 50 (see screenshot below)
The site will be 3 months by 12 August.

From what I can detect, the web2.0s were able to bring it to the top 10 and 20 for most of the KWs. I might need some stronger links to push it to the top 5. I am going for premium web2.0s like - cafemom, shewrites, hr.com etc. Or go for PBNs.

New test loading:
I am going to implement this in a new site again.
But this time, I will be using 100% unique handwritten articles on the tier 1s. and creating tier 2s properties with spun content. I will then blast this tier 2s with cheap PBNs links and url shortner + GSA.

Lets see if I will get the same result as above.
Thanks for sharing

guest posting is the way to go but such a pain in the a..

Know which kind of backlinks are of quality and build them manually (except for PBN, it's better to buy on some providers than making up yourself, unless you have the budget though).

What would those kind of backlinks be? I thought PBN was the way to go.

If you provide quality guest posting service means sure you got success here.

Couple of my MS that have been in the top 3 for almost two years had similar work done, although at that time i had alot of time so i have built up to 10 tiers :D i know this sounds crazy but it paid off very well.
Just to understand this correctly, "tiers" denote a "layer" of websites that all link to the next "tier" or "layer" of websites, basically built like a pyramid ?

Yes, For example, let's suppose you have 10 web2.0's as your tier 1 which will be linking to your money site. You build another 20 web2.0's which are linking to your tier 1 web2.0 (so that's two links each tier 1 web 2.0) same goes with tier 3 and onwards. After tier 6-7 i start interlinking them, for example my tier 7 web 2.0 would be linking to a tier 6 web 2.0 and tier 5 web 2.0 (I keep it random) This helps in creating relevancy, by the time i reach tier 10 its gets to complicated and a pain in ass. :D
Then i start juicing them up from the bottom (tier 10) (add another layer of short url's) by the time i reach tier 4-5 i am already on the second page for most of keywords, Then i add some content and social share wait for a month let the ranking get stable. Once the ranking is stable then i drip feed PBN links 2-3 link each week, 20-30 links are enough to hit the first page sometimes even the TOP 3 results.

Do you think we still need more than 3 Tier to get rank? specially in competitive niche ? Is this method works in competitive niche like fitness, weight loss, beauty etc?
