Just went to pay a merchant and his shop doesn't accept bitcoin as I thought (it was some other network with the bitcoin logo). I'm sick of high fees and all the hassle I'm going through

Anyway, I'm not looking to invest in crypto, just pay for things quick and easy. What's the go to coin? And should I stick to using a wallet, or is it easier to pay for things using an exchange?

Wether it’s easier to use an exchange or wallet is up to you, are you comfortable holding X amount of money on an exchange which might or might not close down any day making your funds insccessible? For me personally cold/hot wallets is the only way, but everyone is different I guess.

in terms of low fee coins there’s some options here, BTC is slow, ETH is expensive so stay away from these. Try using BNB, MATIC and TRON, all 3 are pretty much instant in terms of speed and very low in fees (like couple of cents).

I would advice you to use exchange wallet and USDT on Arbitrum network. Also, Ive used many exchanges like Binace, Bybit, Bitget and OKX. But the one with the lowest fee so far is Bitget. So, I had stick to them.

USDT TRC-20 token is by far the most common crypto in marketing-related payments. It amounts to 80+% of our crypto income, followed by BTC and ETH.

a universal USDT settlement tool. It's the equivalent of a dollar

USDT in BEP20 or TRC. Depends to a wallet.

Anything on the TRC20 chain, you can either use TRX or USDT. It’s cheap and fast.

Same here, I’ve used Bitget for a while and it’s a good exchange wallet, more than a year now with no issues

I‘d say stick with an exchange if you’re just going to do smaller amounts and only use crypto once in a while to make payments. The hassle of figuring out how to safely generate a seed, store it etc.. isn’t worth it.

Ofcourse if you’re planning on holding larger amounts longterm for sure look into getting a Trezor.

as for cheap to send coins here’s a couple I use pretty regularly for making smaller payments - BNB BEP20, ARB ETH, MATIC, TRX, SOL. It all depends on the platform, some accept only a hand full of cryptos.
