Hi Guys,
Any of you heavily promoting moreniche?

Recently got an email from moreniche team asking me to put this large "Affiliate Disclosure Badge" on every page of my site above the fold or my moreniche account will be suspended.

I have no problem with displaying an affiliate disclosure. But this badge from moreniche displays my Full Name and it must be placed above the fold. :o
So if I promote products from 10 different networks and each one of them wants to have their Affiliate Disclosure Badge displayed above the fold, where the f@ck will I add my content and ads? WTF!

I have no problem being open about being an affiliate, but this is a dumb ass move on their part. I definitely see conversions dropping as a part of this and would send my traffic to another network

They don't check whether you're giving the correct name and I've just put my first name on mine. Haven't seen a drop in conversions.

guys , sorry to hijack the thread but how are you promoting moreniche products ?? any short general ideas ?

Same here. I have just received email from MN to ask me to put the Affiliate Disclosure Badge on my site Above the fold. I put it on the side bar and I was asked to change it because it is not "above the fold" enough! Perhaps I have to put this on the header of my blog :(
It is so annoying with this Affiliate Disclosure Badge when it surely drop my conversion rate!
Is it about time to change to other Aff network?

I dropped them like a hot potato when they laid this "mandatory badge" garbage on me. Was so frustrated! Who's paying for my server and domain - ME! How DARE they ORDER me to slap on an ugly, big - butt badge that is not only a diversion, but an eyesore, as well.

Arg. I don't usually rant like this, but they cost me days and days of work here getting their links down and I'm tired, sick of looking at HTML and crabby about this. Then they sit there and talk about their "secret" person - oh, okay, "their people" can remain "Secret" but we should tell the world who we are on EVERY single page of our web sites. Life is hard enough w/o opening the door to vandals, thieves and the unscrupulous, and that's why they keep their 'source' a 'secret'. :pat:

Got the email couple of days earlier. Haven't put up the badages yet as I'm also concerned about the conversions dropping. It wouldn't have been a issue if they asked to post it somewhere on the sidebar, but above the fold is fairly too much. Above the fold is the most precious real estate of any page and that being used to affilate disclosure is complete waste.

It's a dick, dick move. The site where I'm promoting one of their offers is promoting a shit ton of other stuff as well.. and now I'm supposed to have this shit on EVERY PAGE? Fuck them. Too bad though, they have really good stuff and good commissions. Always pay in time too, no shit going on like in the CPA world.

....and boom, now came the final warning - implement the badge or we'll shut down your account :(

It's a shame, they have some awesome CPS products there.

they are simply shooting themselves in the foot, amazon is doing this as well, you can expect better networks later down the road, ah the wonders of capitalism :D

You don't have to include your real name. On their forum they state that you can use a "business name" which doesn't have to be a registered name, but simply something related to the product you're promoting. This is what I did, but only after they said they were going to suspend my account if I didn't comply.

They provide a link to generate a badge where you can enter a name other than your own.

I with MN and have not received any email to display any badge. WTF. If thats true, im leaving. FTS!

ALSO THIS BULLSHIT that merchants are out of funds and not paying affiliates is more than i can take. What kind of bullshit is that?

MN should be paying all affiliates no matter what and they should be hitting up the merchant for the money they have not paid.

What is the crap about, if the merchant doesnt have funds the affiliate doesnt get paid. ARE YOU SERIOUS???

so they spent your money?

Not sure what you talking about? Did they run with your money? They've always paid me promtply, plus they're pushing only per sale products - should have far less trouble with cashflow...

We're just talking about the badge they require affs to implement these days..

Hi all,

Just spotted this thread and wanted to reply.

Since May there have been a lot of updates with the affiliate disclosure badge, and MoreNiche has tried to listen to our affiliates and make it work better for them. It is something we have to do to comply with the OFT but initially it was quite a difficult task to roll out across all affiliates which meant that some of you felt MoreNiche were being inflexible, unreasonable etc, which no-one wanted to be.

If you have any questions about the badge contact myself or your affiliate manager and we'll see if there is now a solution that can allay your concerns. We don't want to lose our affiliates and hopefully (and as some of you have mentioned in your posts) you don't really want to go...so get in touch and we'll see if we can resolve it.

Mikie46 - not sure which merchant you were referring to but again, get in touch if your issue hasn't been resolved. MoreNiche does guarantee all affiliate payments and also has a system where the affiliate earns extra if the merchant is out of funds.
