Google are making loads of changres, could this be positive?

'The update is supposed to offer a better guess of how "fresh" the results should be.

For instance, said Mr Singhal, anyone searching for information about the "Occupy Oakland protests" would probably want up to the minute news.

These need to be distinguished from searches for regular events such as sports results or company reports.

Other types of searches could call on older results, he said. Those looking for a recipe to make tomato sauce for pasta quickly would be happy with a page that is a few months or years old.'

OMG, I always thought about google actually putting up content that was just posted over content years old, I am tired of seeing old outdated content at the top of searches. Lmao....this could be bad for some sites who've dominated in the niche in the past. They would lose their SERPS. x_X....that might hurt some ppl and cause lots of sales to occur.

Same here, it would seem like the way to go. But im guessing it will end up the big sites that would benefit the most from it. Just need to keep updated and adapt again.
