More than Listening, Do They Predict us ?

So, I use a YouTube app on my phone, which is YouTube without ads.

When I come across a good video on my normal YouTube app, and I anticipate enjoying it, I launch my ad-free app. The moment I start typing, without even completing the first keyword, the video is auto-suggested.

This is convenient, as I don't even have to type a word. However, I often wonder how they accurately predict the video I intend to choose, considering any screen at any moment can display up to x number of videos/links that I may or may not choose to watch.

This phenomenon is apparent in most Google apps. For example, I'm scrolling on one Google app, and when I make a sudden stop and open another Google app, it auto-suggests the link where I made the sudden stop on the newly opened google app. It's as if it knows that I would be opening that specific video or link. What amazes me is the remarkable accuracy of this prediction. I wonder what kind of finely-tuned algorithm they use for this.

I would not be surprised If they are using AI + EYE Movement prediction to predict if the sudden stop is a video of an interest then suggest it on another newly opened google app

Neither would I be suprised as I've had similar experiences, but so what if they are, one day our phones will probably crudely pickup hot switch signals from our brain like those to, so it knows when and what you get excited at.

I like to think, so what am I working on today that can benefit me? Otherwise, you just chase yourself down a never-ending paranoia wormhole.
