same for me, i've 5 ads and i only started adsense 1 month ago. I haven't know about premium..

Maybe he isnt aware and he placed 5 ads? Google will track it and If he broke rules then soon you wont see a single ad on his website

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But, I believe if you place more than 3 on the same page, the others will show blank automatically.

That is not true. You only need to activate Google DFP - Double Click for Publishers and than you can put up to 8 ads on one page.

You can put up to 8 Adsense ads on one page. Only trick is, you must put them via Google Double Click for Publishers. You don't need to be Premium Publisher, Google DFP is free for everyone.

How do you even get that much? I just started one this month and we get like 1 visitor passively a day, and about 200 a day with sharing between 40 social media groups.

you can use more that 3 ads in single page by google but now google has also announce you can add maximum 4 ads in your single page.

It's also possible to serve more ads through working with Google Partners. There are many that have setup DFP and allow publishers to work through them and apply for Google's Ad Exchange.
