Use? Don't use? I just had a site get indexed which uses a theme that displays full posts on the front page. Since the home page has more authority that's what Google has indexed, but I'm going to be pointing links to the actual post. This is for a money site, btw.

The theme does not have the option to display in excerpts. Will using the 'more' tag cause any problems SEO wise? Or should I just switch themes.

U are on the right track my friend, but don't use themes with "excerpts", a full post on front page of a site has more value from SEO prespective, then that of post in "excerpts".

I personally use wordpress sites with full post to link to money site :)

This is the money site. That's why I want the actual post being indexed, because that's where I'm going to send links from my PBN sites (which do use full post front page).

I'm trying to rank THIS post, not link to something and rank that.

Morning bump...

I prefer static homepage and use noindex categories for navigation. I don't think using excerpts will hurt you in any way.

Switching themes is better, but I don't think the more tag will hurt you. The way it sounds like your site is lined up you can rotate a featured post to the front to boost authority.

Use it. If you leave both the home page and internal page contents fully, it'll demote one of them.
