After reading through a lot of posts I see a lot of people stating that having a more natural anchor text profile is important. I have researched my site and found 90% of my backlinks are my exact keyword / key phrase. Obviously if these were genuine links from blogs etc most people would not link with my exact keywords

Would drip feeding a few blasts with anchors such as "click here" "here" "domain name.com" and thus creating a more natural profile of anchor texts improve my ranking? Anyone tried this?

I tried this but I didn't tracked the results. Drip feeding with these terms seems good, but I think 1 quality link outrank 100 low quality ones.

I have a good earner site which I did not spend too much time on promoting, the anchors spread around the Internet are all kind of terms you didn't think about, "source site" to "go here", so terms like those surely looks natural.

90% of backlinks with the same anchor text definitely does not look natural. I've never put myself in that situation, but ya, I would definitely lower that percentage. Click here, domainname, even some manual blog comments with your real name, or author name would help. Can't hurt to try it. I always aim for ~60% main keyword, ~20-30% other targeted keywords, and ~10-20% random anchor text.

I inherited the the site and all previous seo when I bought the business. Looks like the previous owners got lots of links. Just all with the same keyword anchor texts. I'm gonna give this a go and see what happens. Ill keep you posted.

Can anyone recommend a good service to achieve this?

Yeah i tried.... make the anchor text with different quality keywords its make you website more traffic
