More Followers = Less Engagement

Thats the way it is l. Be thankful for every follower because sooner than later all this will go to shit and you will be left with the current count you have and only be able to grow organically. So get as many followers as you can.

Maybe you have been going too hard every day with a bot for that whole time?
 
They allowed advertising (sponsored posts) earlier this month, and now its possible they are starting to tune down the accounts to sell more ads themselves.

this happened with Facebook pages right before they started showing ads in the feed.

Don't you get it? Instagram isn't algorithm based. At least not in the feed (but it's starting to look possible). Its comparing apples to oranges.... Even tho they are the same company. Thats like saying twitter is adjusting their algorithm. What algorithm? It's a news feed based system.

If this was facebook, i wouldnt even make the thread. Algorithm changed... Game over. But its different with insta.
 
Well we can all agree on one thing, as soon as they allowed ads it all went to sh*t, unfortunately now there is a conflict of interest. The golden days are over! :)
 
Instagram is Facebook, what did you expect from Facebook?
They have the algorithms ready, and are pushing them in gradually in order not to scare away too many people at once.

What is there to get? instagram is facebook, and Facebook is selling ads. if you're trying to build a business on instagram selling ads or selling anything really, then you're competing with instagram itself, and at any moment Facebook decides to cut you off, they will.

Algorithm or not, they modify the code/ratio of your exposure, and your business goes bye bye. Everyone advertise through official Facebook!

Your balls are in facebook's hands. Drive traffic to your own app, then you'll get your "likes" that you are all so complaining about.
 
My engagement has gone waaaaaaaaay down today. I posted a pic that normally wouldve gotten 30+ likes in under a minute and it didn't even get 10 likes in 5 minutes. Something is up. I don't understand how they can do this.

did you happened to run but on your account to unfollow? or using instagress??
 
How have you been gaining followers? Usually shoutouts from active IG accounts work best for active followers.

something was up with IG today. For an account with 200k followers, i barely got 10 likes... i deleted the pic after 5 minutes bc i knew something had to be up. Not sure what it was tho

Yeah that happens when the 'feed not loading' issue happens. Same thing happened to me today...I got 30 likes in 5 minutes on 211k account and though wtf. Deleted it..30Min later posted and got the usual 300 likes in 5 minutes.

Ah yes, that happened to me, too. I dont think the posts show on yoir followers feeds. Might just be a glitch.
