More Dumb Posts Here At BHW - Bots?

In the last week or two I have seen a sudden influx of stupidity.

These accounts that both have been around a little while, and are new, are showing up in threads and asking the dumbest things. Like threads where people are talking about a method they used that DIDN'T WORK, and these guys show up asking for them to PM them the details of how to do it. WTF?

They will say things like:

"Okay going to follow one this methods ASAP."

In threads with methods that are over a year old and well expired. Again.. WTF?!

I am not one to crap on newbies, but this sort of thing is kinda getting out of hand and creating a noise around here that is actually starting to get annoying.

Some of the ones I seen I swear were made with Xrum. Is BHW being targeted for spammers or bots? What the hell do they expect to get out of it?

Am I seeing things? Or do you guys see it going on too?

Yeah I've noticed it to. However I've chalked it up to actual people that dont know wtf their doing. Its been hard to determine which ones are actually worth the time to help out.

Yeah I've noticed that too. Like they are just good enough that there isn't a reason to really hit the report button, but jsut generic enough that you know they're just upping their post count.

I noticed a few in my SEO guides a couple weeks ago, and then started seeing similar types in other threads from a variety of new accounts. They're a little better than just a thankyou post but still not really contributing anything useful either.

I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop and see if there is an agenda behind it. But so far it seems like just a method of upping post counts but still staying under the radar a little bit.

I agree with you that it's kinda funny though.

Yeah same here... Basicly I cant tell if they are havin problems with english... which is fine by me... or they are actually talking nonsense.

Maybe a bit of both, I usually look for a post count before sayin anything... but a lot of these guys have post counts too.
