More & better quality backlinks than competitors / Still behind

Hey BHW,

I own a website (1.5 year) targetting 3 main keywords. I've been backlinking mainsite with good quality backlinks (web 2.0, related forum posts, related blog comments...).

I created 800+ backlinks lately and I don't know where to go right now as I do have more backlinks than competitors. I know that quantity doesn't beat quality but still I'm showing behind on SERPs.

What kind of link should I build right now ? I was thinking about buying an expired domain and post a few articles with my money site link.

Have you checked that your backlinks are being indexed? I'd say just keep doing what youre doing, maybe throw in a guest post here or there, etc. and it'll show improvements eventually. Sometimes patience is everything.

I've been doing ahref scans on competitors and on my website so results are mostly from ahref. Thanks for your input on guest post, I'm still doing this once a week.

It could be that your competitors are hiding their backlinks, so you can't see them on ahrefs. Anyway, add some PBN links or guest posts, they should give you the boost you need, if you use them properly.

Thanks for your reply marco. I'll sure add some more guest posts as backlinks. About PBN links, my website is in french and I don't know where to buy french PBN services.

If you have the funds it's best to have your own blog network. You could consider building one if you have the budget. That plus guest posting plus owesome content is a killer!

I would give these 800+ backlinks another boost by giving them a blast and would see what happens.

Aged web 2.0 properties (at least 1 year), high PR blogs, Private Blog Network.

PBNs are definitely your best bet. I don't know where to find French PBNs, but you can create your own without too much investment. PM if you want help creating, as it is essential to leave zero footprints.
