I usually lurk and just read the offline marketing but I was wondering what would you guys do in my situation.

Background:A stranger gave me $160 for a basic traffic delivery, I'm highly overprice and did not have any review at all which I found it was very unusual for him to just hire me out of no where. A month or two later,I went back and ask him if he needed any help. He said he will pay me $50 in advance for manually submit 50 link to search engine;Google,Yahoo,MSN and Bing. He said when I am done,he will gave me 50 more link. Now mind you, we rarely communicate when I done his service before because it was just some basic outsource work. I ask if he wanted me to take screenshot or screen record for proof but he said he trust me,which again is a bit unusually since I'm just a stranger with no review or anything to show that I won't just use automatic search engine submission.

I found out Yahoo and MSN was bought out by Bing. I could either not tell him and charge him full price for the next order or tell him,ask if he wanted a refund then only give me half .I couldn't sleep if I took advantage like that so I told him ,he said keep the $50 and he will just pay me $25 for the next work.

Yeah,I'm not very good if I do blackhat related work :p I really don't understand how he could trust me like that, can anyone please explain to me?
I even offer refund and said I wasn't really mind about it.

Do the right thing. Inform him and give him a discount. In the long run you'll benefit more.

No no, you want to take advantage of your clients BEFORE you build a long-term relationship.

    That's how it works, isn't it? ;)

    You did the right thing.

Look at this way. For just $25 you now have a client who knows you are trustworthy and have strengthened your relationship with him.

If someone had a sales thread offering to do that for people's clients for $25 it would be the most popular thread on BHW.

Contract? Ohh,a good idea,I will think about it when we build more Chemistry. Lol,a bit too early for that :p I need to at least do 3 for 4 more work to show him I am reliable enough.

I know it will strengthen my relationship with him but curious why would he even give me a chance in the first place considering he did not know if I am reliable or not. Lol,yeah, $25 for 30 minute work? I guess he have better thing to do considering he have the money to even pay me that much, he could have just use fiverr or other outsource service.

    Don't do this ^

An honest business makes for happy customers. Don't be that guy who will do anything for a quick buck.

He probably smelt your moral conscience from miles hence isn't worried. He knows you know you will go to hell if you take advantage. ;)
