Anyone have experience with MoonPay? I see PayPal listed as a payment method.
Would we be able to pay using PayPal funds sat in the account- or does it have to be via credit/debit card?

GPT states fees of 4.5%. We're currently paying 12% so naturally this could be a significant cost saving exercise for us.

Moonpay merchant allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies with conventional currencies. About 30+ fiat currencies are acceptable on Moonpay merchant

Import feature can be you don't have to convert you money or have foreign accounts to initiate transactions

My question is about specifically using PayPal balances.
We utilise PayPal stealth accounts so I'm wondering if the account name needs to match, also.

OK, so we'd only only use one Stealth account in the same name, and move Paypal funds from the other accounts to this one before exchanging with Moonpay. Seems workable!

You’re paying 12% fees from fiat > crypto? Where are you buying that’s charging these obnoxious exchange fees?

You should try looking into buying on a CEX, it’ll be significantly cheaper than MoonPay, the options you’ve got depend on which country you reside in - if CoinBase or Kraken is an option (which is what I’m using) they’re charging like 0.1% per spot trade (you’ll pay for withdrawals as well, but if you use a cheap option those shouldn’t be more than 1-3USD per withdrawal).

We pay 12% to a handful of persoanl crypto traders- they are aware we are paying with Stealth PayPal accounts.

I'll take a look at CEX, thank you... not familiar with it all so I have plenty of reading to do.

Dear BHW user, I am now facing the same problem. I receive payments from different people on PayPal, but to exchange these funds for cryptocurrency it costs me 12%, or even more

Did I understand what you said correctly?
We receive money on PayPal ---> we transfer this money to Stealth paypal ---> from Stealth we transfer to moonpay.

So the exchange will be much cheaper?

We haven't tested MoonPay yet.

We currently cashout via crypto individuals who typically charge 10-12% fees. These are single traders, not platforms.

Don't you have to do full KYC including selfie with moonpay? If so, 4.5% is expensive because coinbase or others also support paypal as a payment method, or have I misunderstood something here?

Hie can I exchange paypal for you to crypto at 8%?

Sorry, I don't offer this service myself. You will find individual traders who will happily accept Stealth payments, they are out there, especially as you build trust with them. 8% is unlikely though, we trade mid five figures per month and are at 10%.

Yes, MoonPay has integrated PayPal as a payment method, allowing users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly using their PayPal accounts. This integration simplifies the process for PayPal users to enter the cryptocurrency market.

I’ve used MoonPay as an on-ramp from CC > crypto. Haven’t used PayPal through MoonPay though, I have however swapped through LocalCoinSwap using PayPal, it’s a P2P trading platform. Fees are manageable.

Used it for a flip, PayPal went through no prob, just watch out for ID verification delays.
