Monthly Subscription vs Flexible Expiry Date - Which Do You Prefer?

I’m looking for some feedback from the community on a topic related to subscription models for services like internet packages, proxies, or other recurring products.

We’re considering offering two subscription options for our service:

1. Monthly Subscription Model: A fixed monthly payment that automatically renews each month.
2. Flexible Expiry with Recharge: A model where you choose the validity period, and you can top up or extend your subscription whenever you need to, adding more time to the original expiration.
   

I’m curious to know:

• Which model do you personally prefer?
• Do you prefer the simplicity and predictability of a monthly subscription, or do you like the flexibility of adding more time when needed?

Most go with monthly subscriptions. Easier to manage and predictable cash flow. Flexible top-ups sound nice but people often forget to recharge so revenue drops.

That makes sense for burst users

From what I saw most still prefer fixed plans once they scale because it forces predictable usage. Flex works early stage but subs win long term 100% tellng you

Monthly subscription is a better choice, The more predicatable , the better it works for both users and service providers.

People are extremely familiar with monthly subscription

But then i.like.to.pay for what I want to use

Which could be less or.more.most times
