Monitizing a Troll/Viral Site?

I have a website that is essentially a huge troll. Whenever I post it on a forum, I get 1000s of hits, the traffic coming from places outside that forum (e.g., people sharing the site on facebook). However, after a day, the traffic dies down. Right now I have adsense on the site, but not many people click the ads; they are at the site to read the articles, not because they are interested in a niche or anything.

What's a better way to monetize this site?

More intrusive ads/popunders are probably the best options.

A Social Media Locker? They have to give a like on facebook or a tweet on twitter before entering the site, so they can gain access.

I would use popunders on a site like that.
