Money through wordpress themes?

Hi there,

I'm not that good in IM yet, but what i am good at is wordpress. Theme creation, plugins widgets etc. Do you think there is money in it? The market works, no question, but the competition is VERY big.

sure, if you know how to set up wordpress sites you should set up mass niches websites and earn adsence off them might take you 6 months till you see big results thou but you earn big if you know what your doing

I think OP means coding theme and widgets not just setting up a site. In this case I think you could make some money. Not really sure how but for starters you could build link backs to your own site in the themes and widgets.

Speaking from experience, there is money there... but there's an ASS LOAD of member support regardless of how well coded your themes or how well thought out your FAQ's are.

People that pay for a theme, tend to ask YOU first before spending 30secs to find the answer themselves and constantly break things lol.

If you have a genuine passion for WP and want to make some pretty damn good $... go for it but don't forget that running the show is vastly different from being an affiliate.

If it's purely a "method"... and can't afford to hire people or partner with people to do specific tasks for you I'd say creating themes isn't for you.
