I think its gonna my first share here
It can be very help ful to tier 4 country people like Ind,Pak and BD

Here whats we gonna do is you can create a some fake UK or US or Canada Identity buy some Premium vpn and apply a job for transcriber

There are few sites which pays upto 50$ per hour
People who have good knowledge in english can easily earn good amount

very tough to get job on this kinda sites but its possible if you have good skills

Bullshit, where are these sites that pay that much?
In my own experience they pay only a few bucks, while accepting you is the most hard part.
Doable only if your mother language is English, though.

I have heard few sites paying upto 50$ whether if not 50 bucks people will earn some what there is lot of sites like scribe and upwork ll get loads of work
yeah I do admit with you if mother tongue is english they ll have more chances but nowadays everyone is fluent in english
 
Wow, that's a useless "share".

First of all, it's not so difficult to get accepted to these transcription sites, but you won't make anywhere near $50 per hour. They pay you per "audio hour", not an hour. For instance, you'll get a very shitty audio file to transcribe that has been recorded with a potato covered in sack of pubic hair, and spoken in some 1200s old English, that is 10 minutes long. The fixed pay will be like $5. Unless you are native speaker, it'll take you probably an hour or two of constant listening to get it right.

while I'm not saying nobody should try this, I'm saying this is far from easy money, so just keep that in mind, should you decide to try this. I gave it a solid try and I'd rather go to a restaurant to was dishes or clean cars, if I'm honest. And my English isn't too bad, but it requires a lot of patience and just wasn't worth the money for me.

Look it may be useless share to you but it might help some one from tier 4 country
their average Income will be not even a half cent per hour so if we do and make 5$ per hour i,e 10 times double
In my view making something is better then doing nothing

And I agree with you that it's better to make something instead of nothing. Especially if you are from a lower income country, $5 might be a big deal for somebody.

What I meant by saying "useless" is the fact that your original post provides 0 value apart from you saying " go and transcribe ". How about providing company names that pay your aforementioned $50 an hour. Tips on getting accepted ? Anything that's actually useful apart from "google it".

That's not a share and I don't even know what it is. I take it that you have not tried this yourself in the first place and have literally 0 clue how it actually works. Which is why your post is useless. It has the same substance as if I would go now and create a thread saying "if you know english, go create a blog on a niche and monetize with affiliate marketing. You can make $100 a day, easy". See? 0 value.
 
Best transcription site in my experience is crowdsurf. All the other have shit quality and are too strict with the rules. Crowdsurf pays somewhere around 6$ per hour after you get the hang of it and they have bonuses all the time.
 
O.K Folks, here is a little help for those who want to try this method:
1. Connect a fairly good microphone in your PC.
2. Put it just in front of the Computer's Speakers.
3. Download and Install a Transcribe Software like Express Scribe, Hyper Transcribe, or Inqscribe.
4. Fire up Audacity and record the whole listening.
5. Load it to your preferred transcribing software.
6. Go to this link: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html
6b. Press the Microphone Icon....
7. Play the file SLOWLY at 66 to 80 %
8. If your are lucky it will transcribe it really well...!

Great tips
 
The first thing that ever made me decent money online was transcription. I worked mostly as a transcriber for the first 2 years of my "internet career."

I remember I started as a transcriber, aced the test, then quickly got promoted to a QA (quality assurance), and then eventually promoted to Reviewer.

Even though English is not my native language, not even my secondary one, I'm still pretty good at it and had a decent career as a transcriber :)

It's hard work, but it can make decent money especially for 3rd tier countries.

Have good headphones, so you can hear clearly.

Do a good job, don't rush to complete it, make sure you cross all the I's and dot all the T's (or whatever the saying goes).

Know your grammar and rules of grammar.

Follow the rules of the transcription site, or the specific rules for the particular file you're working on (clean verbatim, full verbatim, etc).

Do a good job :)

May I ask on what sites you've worked, how many hours on average you'd work per week and, on average, how much did you make monthly or weekly?

I did my jobs for gotranscript and they pay on average $2 (or less) per 10 minute audio and it took me a while to transcribe those 10 minutes. How was it for you?

My main one was Transcribeme. I got on it when it was a new site, so it wasn't hard to get in. Though I did ace my test. Literally, when I saw I scored 100% on the test I thought it was a scam. English is not my native language, there is no way I got 100% correct. But it turned out to be legit and I transcribed there for 2 years. They later also started doing subtitles/captions, so I did those too for a while.

Now it's harder to get in for sure, the tests are much more extensive. But I would look into them.

I also did Scribie on the side. Low pay, tedious work, but they were legit any paying. They still exist, though I think now they pay even less than they used to, and they didn't pay that great to begin with.

And I also worked for one other site, but can't remember the name. They "let me go" after about 2 months, because I tried to juggle them and Transcribeme and Scribie and my other online activities, and something had to give. Quality suffered, as I tried to manage it all, and so it didn't work out.

Man, it was quite tedious. Even though I learned to type fast and be quick about it all, it's still long hours, a lot of listening and typing your fingers to the bone. I can't remember all the details exactly, it's been 3 years since I last did any transcription work.

I was earning like $500-1,500 per month or something like that at my peak.

But, it's legit work, it pays, and it can be done from home as a freelancer/independent consultant. It's better than Paid to Click sites and shit like that for sure :)

Well, $500-1500 is way above average of what transcribers usually make on these type of sites. How many hours per week did you work for such results?

But I didn't start out making that. That was at my peak. Let's say I was doing average about $800 per month.

Man, I worked 24/7/365. But, the truth is I was just doing transcription to pay rent and the bills and survive while I figured out something better. So at the same time I was also doing PTC sites and forum commenting (postloop) and some phone reviews (humanatic) and some data entry (megatypers) and reading BHW and the internet like crazy, learning about websites and blogs and paypals and seo and social media and... but I was working every waking hour for years.

Now, how much of every waking hour was devoted strictly to transcription, I really couldn't say. But a lot of it. On good days where I'd make some nice money I would literally wake up and transcribe for 15-30 hours and then crash. And then the next day I would feel good cuz I made like $70 bucks or $100 bucks, like wow.

Hah, now I have $50 and $100 and $200 days and I don't have to type myself to death and stare at a screen arranging letters and commas and dashes and stuff. It's toxic shit :D
 
One big problem with this method is: how are we going to fill out the tax form once we earned a certain amount of money? Since the transcribing companies will surely asks for SSN or some other identification details that's exclusive to the US residents.
