I agree with the article writing. Go to Fiverr and create a gig. Get a family member or friend or someone on this forums to buy and leave a review. The best thing about Fiverr now is that you are not restricted to charging $5. The only problem is that it is hard to get a good $$/hour that justifies not having a regular job. Most people work several hours for just a few dollars, equating to less than minimum wage. The best way to probably do it is find a cheap gig on Fiverr and then sell it as your own for a higher price somewhere else (or even on Fiverr). Simple arbitrage. You could also look for people on upwork and sell their services on Fiverr (or wherever) at a higher price. Think of yourself as a boss rather than a worker. This, however, requires a little money to get going and sometimes you have to search for a while to find a good writer who is also cheap.

Making money online is very hard, I would really focus on getting a job IRL its just a better route in your situation. After you have stable income from your job then focus on IM or making money online as this is not going to happen over night, just stating facts.

You and I joined the forum before it was on Xenforo. I'm unsure of what the forum was like in 2008, though when I joined in 2013, you had to have a minimum of 50 posts before you could upload a custom avatar.
If you had 49 or fewer posts, the option for uploading a custom avatar wasn't visible, and you were limited to a select few and rather lame selection of default avatars.
However, this is no longer the case and new members can upload custom avatars as soon as they create an account.
