Money Making Idea. What do you think?

I've got this idea recently, but I'm not sure if it can work and I could use some pro-tips and twists before I start working on it. I'm not sure if I should share it public or not, but I'm still a newbie and I trust this community...a bit

I was thinking of making a site, where people would complete survey to win certain gifts. I googled a bit, but didn't really find something like this online. I got a sort of EMD domain in mind as well.

The whole thing would work like this:
Let's say I put up a contest for Mobile Phone. People would fill up a survey, and only after that they would be able to give me their email. I'd get money from completing surveys, which I'd spent for the mobile phone and keep rest as profit. Since I also got their emails, I could use it for future email marketing and build a solid list. Afterwards I could send them offers from ebay/amazon/whatever with the Mobile Phone (and other products).

Few things I'm not sure about - how much $$$ do you make from one completed survey? Would I get enough money to buy the gifts as well? How many people would I need?...
How do I content lock the email, after they complete survey? You know, window poping out with "give me your email" only after completing survey.

The only way to know if it will work is to TEST it. If it's working for you, I would rather keep it and share some basic info to the public instead but don't ever share your niche.

I know. I've got domain in mind, keywords written down, I'll start working on design and buy the domain & hosting. I'm not afraid to take action, but I'd really like to get opinions from more experienced people before I start pumping my hard earned money into this. What I fear most for the future is the technical and traffic aspect of the page.

Thanks, I can get some ideas from there. That pages shows various pages that are focused only one one product. I'd like to have multiple of them on my page and make it popular. People love to win prizes, especially when they don't really have to pay for it. "Oh it's for free? Let's try this, why the heck not."

You have to find offers (CPA companies) that allow incentive traffic, as you're giving your customers incentive (a possibly to win a cell-phone) to fill out a survey and leave their e-mail address.

Alright I created the website and I'm about to test it. I've got a freehosting/subdomain for testing purposes. Where can I find a worldwide survey/email/... offer please?
