Money doesn't bring happiness, my ass!

unless you become the slave of your work.
what's the use of money if u don't have time to spend it.

That is probably an old saying, when money first began to change people and turn them into greedy individuals that only seek pleasure in different ways, rather than helping other people and showing them the way to getting money.

We live in a world where without money, we cannot survive. If we lived, let's say 3500 years ago, money would be useless. The world changes and so do the things that make us happy, or simply things that are necessary for our existence.

Money is good to have in your pocket, but too much can lead to unhappiness.

"The trouble with being poor is that it takes up all your time." - Willem de Kooning

Of course money brings happiness. The three most important things in life are 1) health 2) money and 3) love. Trust me on that.

There aren't many problems, money can't solve. Think about that one.

"Love goes out the back door when starvation comes in the front door." quote from my father. He wanted me to marry a good provider.

Whenever I got soft and choose love first it bites me in the ass! get money!!

The first form of money was actually created around 5500 years ago.

we already know what makes us happy ? and it doesn?t take a genius to guess the answer.
Money ? and lots of it ? is the most important factor in a person?s happiness. fact.

He meant that the same retards who invented "you don't need money to be happy" are similar to the people who invented "pray every day for some fairy being you've never seen to help you". He's probably right.

right up there with religion??? what the heck do u mean by that?

I liked your "wise" words but dunnow what you mean by that????

Lack of money will make your life miserable without a doubt. Losing money is worse.

My strategy: Get F-you money. Meaning get enough money that you don't have to take shit from anyone. If somebody gives you a hard time, just buy their ass.

Edit: Everybody is wh*re, it is just the amount that varies;)

Money = Freedom and Choice.

Freedom to buy me luv u long time.

Choice to find love or spiritual redemption if that's the way you roll.

"without the stress" part is the killer app.

The only thing I don't agree with you on 100% is the "work hard" part. You don't have to work hard. You have to be smart, work smarter and have others do as many of your tasks as possible, with you doing only the very essential parts, which require strategic thinking and creativity.

That is the exact mind-set I have. I know that I have to work very hard at the moment because I do not have the money to outsource, but I am moving towards me being the brain of my business and outsourcers fulfilling my plans.

I know that at the moment I am not moving forward as quickly as I could be, because I am doing the things that slow the progress down. I have so many ideas written down and I could be making a lot more money when I could just outsource the development of the tactics/ideas, but I am moving towards that ;)

People go to work each day to feel sad on pay day, right? Doubt it.

Agree with OP, but the saying is actually twisted and then mentioned (over-hyped) over and over, again and again so that the actual saying and its meaning, IMHO, is forgotten...

IMO, it should be "The over-greed of accumulating money doesn't bring happiness".

Reasons:

Over-greed makes the person and his thoughts corrupt with wrong ideas by which (s)he may hurt a lot of people needlessly and make them all very unhappy in the process.

Accumulating loads of money without using it properly for self- and family-needs at least, will keep the person and his family stay unhappy. Of course if not used correctly, it will also not be useful to the society.

Making loads of money by consistent cheating / killing / bad ruling / tyranny , etc.: Someday/sometime it's surely going to bring extreme "bad luck"... think about what, as a 'bad karma', it can do to the children, wife, relations, self, property, ...

The results of bad karma materializes in due course, but the actual unhappiness / great grief comes over when the person's mind accepts the facts that he/she has erred very badly in life. But by then, too much is lost (apart from money) and that can't be recovered or replaced...

And no, not smoking weed or drinking booze or am out of my mind... :D
