No, but it can buy you great fucking health care, if you get sick. Which is more than can be said if you have no money.
Yep... And if you have money:
* You're not so stressed, and stress is a major cause of illness, low immune system activity etc.
* You can buy as much healthy food as you want, vitamins etc. You have time to cook healthy meals and relax while you eat.
* When you have to eat out you can afford to buy a more expensive healthy option rather than getting the cheapest, fattiest fast food that just fills you up.
* You can afford stuff like gym memberships, sports clubs memberships, exercise equipment etc. and you have time to exercise.
* You're more likely to take a preventative approach to health, e.g. seeing the doctor early as soon as you have a problem, rather than waiting until things get really bad before you finally go.
* You get better sleep because you're not lying awake staring at the ceiling and stressing about the bills.
* You have more time and money to take advantage of opportunities to socialize and spend time with friends, which helps your mental (and thus physical) health.
In my experience, people with at least a certain baseline level of money are much healthier and happier than those who are living in poverty.
