Monetizing webmaster/seo related website

I'm building a blog on all things related to www/seo/hosting.
I'm not sure if I should even bother putting adsense ads there. I mean, most tech oriented people already use adblocks or at the very least ignore them.
CTR would be something like 0.001%

But if not Adsense then what?...

And no, I don't want to build 1000 micro niche websites about steak knives, leather sofas or some other cr*p I'm absolutely not interested in
I just want to focus on one website...

offer some free ebooks have them sign up to your newsletter, collect their emails (use aweber) then whenever new product/program comes out and has affiliate program, blast the emails with your affiliate link that's one of the best idea to do with seo/webmaster related site

what i suggested is not spamming but okay, affiliate ads on your blog would work but wouldnt make as much as mailing
